OdneClean: Effect of a novel irrigation regimen and root canal filling material versus conventional endodontic protocols on dentin wettability
The Society of The Nippon Dental University
This study evaluates the dentin wettability of OdneFill compared to AH Plus and EndoSequence BC Sealer in combination with different irrigation regimes. Using polished occlusal dentine surfaces of human molar teeth treated with saline, standard needle irrigation, and OdneClean, the contact angles of the sealers were measured. OdneFill demonstrated the highest hydrophilicity with a contact angle of 41.10º ± 5.80, significantly outperforming AH Plus (83.24º ± 9.22) and EndoSequence BC Sealer (92.84º ± 8.46). Additionally, OdneFill’s hydrophilicity was further enhanced when used in combination with OdneClean, ensuring effective flowability into the root canal during obturation.
